Here's a business idea for someone with more energy than myself:
- train an AI model with screenshots, videos and descriptions of every game ever made. Scrape Steam, the mobile stores, the console stores, even youtube. Or, if you have enough clout, receive those assets willingly from the stores themselves, as ultimately it's they who will benefit most.
- create an authorative body that accepts submissions from game developers, containing these same assets for their soon-to-be-published game.
- using the AI model, the body examines those assets, and makes a ruling (or likely an AI confidence score) on whether the game is genuine, or AI slop ripped off from an existing game.
- provide an API to the above stores, so that when the game is submitted to their store, they can establish whether the submission is genuine.
Right, off you go - I'll take 5% 😃
